John L'Esperance is a senior associate in Berry, Appleman
& Leiden's metro Washington, DC office. He has practiced
exclusively in the area of immigration and Nationality law
since 1996. Mr. L'Esperance represents clients in a variety
of business immigration matters, including labor certification
applications, immigrant visa petitions, applications to adjust
status and consular processing, as well as nonimmigrant visa
petitions for intracompany transferees and specialty occupations.
Prior to joining Berry, Appleman & Leiden, Mr. L'Esperance
was a senior associate in the Washington, DC office of an
established immigration law firm where he led their Nurse/Health
Care professionals practice. His practice focused on representing
small and large corporate clients, foundations, universities,
and hospitals/health care institutions on matters involving
the hiring, transfer and retention of international personnel,
including permanent and temporary visas.
Mr. L'Esperance holds a bachelor's degree in business administration
from Castleton College in Vermont, and is a 1995 graduate
of the District of Columbia School of Law (formerly, Antioch
Law School). He is admitted to practice in the state of Florida
and the District of Columbia. Mr. L'Esperance is also a member
of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
