Petra
Tang is a partner in the San Francisco office of Berry Appleman & Leiden. Her practice covers immigrant business visa issues, as well as advising companies in complex immigration practice and policy concerns. She focuses on advising and representing clients in a variety of industries, with a primary focus on the high tech industry. Ms. Tang has extensive experience counseling large multinational corporations on immigration issues arising from corporate reorganizations, mergers, and layoffs; managing PERM recruitment programs; and obtaining complex green cards under the outstanding researcher and , multinational manager/executive categories.
Ms. Tang was the 2000 chair of the Immigration Committee of the Barristers Club of San Francisco and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She speaks German and conversational Cantonese. Ms. Tang received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1996 and is an active member of the California State Bar.
