USCIS Adopts New Photograph Requirement

 

July 26, 2004 - American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) today reported announcements by the USCIS Nebraska and California Service Centers that the USCIS will be changing its requirements for photographs to be submitted with petitions, perhaps as early as August 1, 2004. USCIS will accept passport-style (full front) photos beginning immediately and will cease to accept photos in the previously required "ADIT" style (3/4 view format with the right ear showing) after a soon to be published target date. According to the USCIS announcements, until the published target date, USCIS will accept either the passport-style or the 3/4 "ADIT" style photos.
