August 6, 2001 -The Los Angeles Times today reported that data released by the Immigration and Naturalization Service confirm that the agency has “slashed its work site enforcement efforts in recent years” resulting in a dramatic drop in arrests of workers and fines and warnings issued to employers concerning their compliance with I-9 employment authorization verification requirements.
